In-Service Programmes, Field Interaction and Innovation Coordination (IFIC) Wing

The In-Service Programmes, Field Interaction and Innovation Coordination (IFIC) Wing of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Kaithal is responsible for enhancing the professional skills and academic capabilities of teachers through continuous training and educational support programmes. The wing works to improve the overall standard of school education by helping teachers stay updated with new teaching methods, educational reforms, and innovative classroom practices.

The IFIC Wing believes that teachers should continue learning throughout their professional journey. Keeping this objective in mind, the wing regularly conducts in-service training programmes, orientation sessions, workshops, seminars, and professional development activities for teachers, school heads, principals, BRPs, ABRCs, and educational officers at district, block, and cluster levels.

The wing focuses on strengthening teaching competencies, classroom management skills, leadership qualities, and subject understanding among educators. It encourages teachers to adopt child-friendly, activity-based, and joyful learning approaches that make classroom teaching more interactive and effective for students.

Special importance is given to spreading awareness about Learning Outcomes, child psychology, competency-based education, modern pedagogy, and interdisciplinary learning approaches. Teachers are guided to use innovative teaching-learning materials, digital resources, and practical classroom strategies to improve student participation and learning achievement.

The IFIC Wing also promotes interaction and collaboration among teachers by providing opportunities to exchange ideas, share successful teaching experiences, and discuss best classroom practices. Such field interactions help teachers learn from one another and encourage the adoption of creative and effective teaching methods in schools.

To ensure proper planning and implementation of teacher training programmes, the wing conducts Training Need Assessments (TNA) and prepares Annual Training Calendars (ATC) as per the guidelines of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). It also develops training modules, academic materials, and support resources for various educational programmes.

The wing maintains coordination with organizations such as the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and other educational institutions for the successful implementation of teacher education and innovation programmes.

Through its continuous efforts, the IFIC Wing contributes significantly towards creating a professionally skilled, innovative, and learner-focused teaching community.
