The Planning & Management (P&M) Wing of the District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Kaithal serves as the central coordinating unit responsible for educational planning, institutional management, programme implementation, and academic coordination at the district level. The wing plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective execution of educational policies, teacher education programmes, and capacity-building initiatives in alignment with the objectives of SCERT Haryana, the Department of School Education, Haryana, and Samagra Shiksha.
The P&M Wing is responsible for preparing annual institutional action plans, district-level educational plans, training calendars, and strategic frameworks to support the continuous improvement of school education. It works in close coordination with various academic wings of DIET, district education authorities, schools, and other educational institutions to ensure the efficient planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of educational programmes.
The wing facilitates effective academic and administrative coordination by ensuring the optimal utilization of institutional resources, including human resources, infrastructure, financial resources, and training facilities. It promotes transparency, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making in the planning and management of educational activities.
A major responsibility of the wing is the collection, compilation, analysis, and maintenance of educational data related to enrolment, attendance, teacher training, student achievement, school performance, and other educational indicators. The analysis of this data supports informed policy decisions, programme planning, and institutional development at the district level.
The Planning & Management Wing regularly monitors and reviews the implementation of educational schemes, teacher education programmes, and district-level initiatives through field visits, progress reviews, documentation, and evaluation mechanisms. It provides academic and administrative support to ensure the timely and effective execution of programmes while recommending appropriate measures for quality improvement.
The wing also assists in organizing workshops, seminars, conferences, review meetings, and capacity-building programmes by coordinating logistics, documentation, scheduling, and resource management. It serves as an important link between DIET Kaithal, educational authorities, and other stakeholders in strengthening institutional effectiveness and educational governance.
